Post-Traumatic Stress/Military Issues
Heading 1
Do you find that you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or "overreacting" to situations that might be linked to a recent or past traumatic event(s)? If you are, you could be suffering from post-traumatic stress. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened. Traumatic events that may trigger PTSD include violent personal assaults, natural or human-caused disasters, accidents, or military combat. Studies have shown that the use of cognitive behavior therapy can reduce or eliminate symptoms after treatment. All of our counselors are experienced in helping clients work through their trauma to relieve symptoms and to return to full functioning.
Military members who have been called to serve in combat are often plagued with PTSD. They struggle in their jobs and social functioning. Not only is their life disrupted by the disorder, but their families and loved ones are affected as well. Counseling can help. Clear View has counselors with extensive military experience. They will be able to relate to and help indivdiuals who are or were in the military meet their needs. If that sounds like you, call us today.
